Daniel Defense M4Rail Handguards are designed to give the shooter the feel of the military issue M4 handguard, with many added advantages. Machined from extruded aluminum, they provide four integral picatinny rails for mounting accessories. They are "free float" attached to the upper to protect the barrel from stress and indexed to the barrel nut with pins to eliminate the possibility of "handguard spin". DD handguard ventilation holes and their gas tube cooling holes provide maximum cooling for continuous fire situations. With their shortest model weighing only 8.5 ounces, these handguards are great for shooters who are looking to lighten their working load.
